After a hugely successful season with the PASE Scheme, young Under 18 striker/wideman Robert Hastings and England Schoolboy International Lee Close have signed First Team contracts for the 2012/2013 season. Again proving that the Boreham Wood PASE Scheme production line is progressing well. This season alone Charlie Hunter, Inih Effiong, Simeon Akinola, Pelly Ruddock, Ruddock Yala, Jon Clements, Lee Close, Dan Loveday, Cameron Baker-Owers, Connor Lancaster, Liam Griffin, Harvey Scott-Morris, Dean Rubenia and Calaum Martin have all made appearances in Wood’s First Team this campaign.

Head PASE coach, Mario Noto, said “Since I have arrived at the Club in the position of Head PASE coach, the scheme has come on leaps and bounds. So far this season we have won the SESSA Cup and wrapped up the Under 18 title this week. We still have the English Colleges’ National Cup Final to play, as well as the Under 18’s Champion of Champions Cup and the Brian Hitchings Cup to win.

“We’ve also added two more England College Internationals this year, to bring our total of England Internationals to 7 over the last 3 seasons, in which Ruddock Yala actually skippered the side in their last outing in a friendly against Reading FC.

Noto concluded “Let’s also not forget that in November we sold PASE prodigy Pelly Ruddock to a London Football giant West Ham United. At the club we show we have a clear pathway from our PASE teams to our First Team and beyond.”
