On the deal, Gary Bonniface commented: “It is an on-going relationship, I have known the Chairman Danny Hunter for a long time, we played football together in Borehamwood when we were just 12-years-old.

“I grew up here and have been watching the club since I was 10, or 11-years-old and I have been to matches with Danny as well, so it goes back a long, long way.

“Our offices are in Elsetree, and my parents still live in Borehamwood, so there was a lot of pull there for us to get involved with the club.

“I felt that it was time to put some money back into the club and I want to be part of the success. I always look for their results and it was really just a matter of finding the right time to get in touch.”

GBE Installations also sponsor both Jamie Turley and Keiran Murtagh, and Gary Bonniface spoke about his pride at sponsoring his local club.

“I am hugely proud, it is something that has been on my mind for a long time and I wish I had done it earlier, the club is just going from strength-to-strength.

“My view is that more people from Borehamwood should get involved with the club, and hopefully that will come over time. To be grow up in Borehamwood and see the football club thriving as it is, is a massive plus.

“Everybody knows that they are an underdog club in this league, so to just stay in the division is a huge achievement, but last Saturday they were top of the league for a while, which was great, just to see the club flourish is amazing.”
