Team News

There are no fresh injury concerns going into the match against Torquay United.

Luke Garrard welcomed back Dave Stephens on Saturday, following his absence against Dagenham & Redbridge.

Having narrowly missed out on the victory over Solihull Moors, Wood manager remains hopeful of welcoming back some, or all, of Danny Woodards, Dean Wells and Bradley Ash.

Form Guide

The Wood got their first win of the season against Solihull Moors on Saturday, with an excellent 4-1 win.

However, Garrard said that it wasn’t actually their best performance of the season, and expects to see further improvement against Torquay.

The Wood looked strong on the road against AFC Fylde and will be hoping to return with three points.

Kevin Nicholson’s side lost 3-0 to Gateshead at the weekend, and many suggested that it could have been worse for the side.

However, the Gulls battled to an impressive draw against Tranmere Rovers on the opening day of the season and will be hoping that a return home can get them their first win of the season.

From the Dugout – Luke Garrard

“They have not won a game as of yet, so they will be doing everything that they can to get three points on Tuesday.

“We have got to regroup, but it is all about us in my opinion. I can’t be talking about Solihull Moors, Torquay or Dagenham, it has got to be about what we do.

“If we do our job and if we do it correctly, then I think that we can cause them problems, so we will be going there focused in order to come away with a result.

“We will put our plan in action to nullify where we think that they are weak, and to again deal with their threats.

“If we can do that, then I think that we will get a positive result on Tuesday.”
