Team News

The Wood have no fresh injury concerns going into the fixture.

Dean Wells played his first 90 minutes of the season against Wrexham and will be hoping to continue his return to fitness against Barrow.

Jamie Turley is set to return to the squad having trained today.

Form Guide

Boreham Wood went four matches unbeaten prior to the loss against Wrexham, with wins against Solihull Moors, Torquay United and Aldershot boosting confidence amongst the group.

However, a frustrating 0-1 defeat to Wrexham put an end to the run. Luke Garrard and his side will feel that they should have taken something from the match, having seen a host of chances go missing.

Bruno Andrade is the side’s top scorer this campaign, with five goals in six matches, and will be aiming to continue his fine run of form.

Barrow are currently manager-less, having parted ways with former Mansfield boss Paul Cox earlier in August.

Micky Moore has taken temporary charge of the side, while the club search for Cox’s successor. Barrow have recently added Marcus Bignot to their backroom staff, who will assist Moore.

From the Dugout – Luke Garrard

“I watched them against AFC Fylde on Monday evening and they got a point against Maidenhead on the Saturday and there is new management imminent.

“If they get a manager in place before the match then they will all be trying to impress come Saturday, and if they don’t, they will all be fighting for their own places.

“It is not the ideal situation for us, but on the other hand, we are going there and the focus is going to be on what we do and our game plan.

“They’re big, they’re strong and they have got a lot of height in their team, they are very dominant on long throws from Dan Jones and they like to get balls into the box.

“They put the opposition under pressure and the boys have seen that today. We have worked on bits in training and we will work again on little details tomorrow in order to nullify what we think their strengths are.

“We have got a game plan and hopefully we can implement that come Saturday. We feel that if we can do this in the same way that we did against Aldershot and like we had done against Tranmere, then we can cause Barrow problems.”
