A JUNIOR MORIAS

Wood frontman Junior Morias has joined National League South Side Whitehawk on a short term loan. The terms of the loan are, that it will be for 93 days and has a 24 hour player recall after the initial first 28 day period has elapsed..

Junior has established himself as a firm fans favourite with the Wood Army and was originally signed on loan from Wycombe Wanderers in 2012. That loan was then made permanent in October 2014, following his release from Wycombe and he was instrumental in last seasons promotion campaign..

It was Junior’s goal remember in extra time last May, that gave us our famous victory in the Conference South play off final, ironically against Whitehawk.. However with our forward line being heavily strengthened in recent weeks, Juniors game time was perhaps going to be reduced even further. As such this is a deal that in the short term will we believe help Junior and suit all parties..

Wood Gaffer Luke Garrard said “Junior is still in my plans, he is still improving and he is still young. He unfortunately started the season slightly injured and that hampered his opportunities. At present the reality is that he is simply getting frustrated with his lack of game time.

I do understand his frustration but I am not in a position to give him the minutes he feels he needs.. So we have decided to let him go out on loan, get himself fitter and get himself firing. We know he’ll get goals in the division below and I’m sure he’ll improve for the experience of playing under Whitehawk’s experienced manager Steve King, so it’s a win, win situation”.. He concluded.
