Boreham Wood would like to congratulate goalkeeper Grant Smith on receiving a call up to the England C squad.

The Wood stopper was selected by Paul Fairclough to be part of the squad for the International Challenge Trophy Final against Slovakia, on Wednesday, November 8.

While, attacking wing-back Kane Smith has been placed on the standby list for the squad.

Grant Smith arrived at Meadow Park in the Summer of 2016 from Bognor Regis, and has played every minute of the campaign so far.

The goalkeeper was recently apart of England C’s three-day training camp at Lilleshall, and has been rewarded for his impressive performances with a full call up.

Kane Smith joined the Wood from Hitchin Town in the summer and has been an instant hit with his pace and powerful delivery. The wing-back scored on the opening day of the season against AFC Fylde.

Everyone at Boreham Wood would like to wish both players and the England C team all the best.
