PRESENTATION

Boreham Wood football club are delighted to announce, that it will be holding its end of season presentation gala evening at the Holiday Inn Elstree once again.

The Gala event will take place on Saturday, 25th April, after the first team have hopefully returned triumphant from a tough match at Chelmsford City which is our last scheduled game of the present season.

The club can boast a proud 67 year history and will be celebrating the progress it’s made since 1948 in style. Our much loved President Bill O’Neill, who has overseen so many of the changes over the years, will of course be “guest of honour” as we raise a glass to the many absent friends who have built and contributed to our journey over the years..

Many local dignitaries will also be there, along with the club staff, players and management. In recent years the evening has proved very popular with our loyal Supporters, who are again welcome this year but we respectfully remind everyone that space really is limited, and with only 25 supporter’s and parents tickets remaining people must move quickly as they are on a strictly first come first served basis.

Tickets prices have again been frozen and are costed at £35 per person. The price includes a three course meal, a night of speeches, laughter, entertainment, plus dancing and of course a late bar.

People are reminded that a strict dress code will as always operate for this event and we hope that everyone who has supported the club this season can be in attendance and make it a very, very special evening…

After 67 years of sitting at the heart of the town, the club has shown true endeavour and bouncebackability, as have the characters that have lovingly built it. After 67 years we now want to celebrate a special night of memories with the club president, with friends, staff, players and supporters and reminisce on a journey that began way back in 1948.

Who knows could the 25th April, 2015, maybe just maybe be the day that our present playing squad add their own names to our illustrious roll of honour and build the Conference national platform that leads to the next stage of the clubs league history.

If not,  they may just may have secured a well-deserved play-off place?? That would obviously mean an extension to our league season by a possible two weeks as we enter the play offs and cup tie football. We know we just love being the underdog and if we do get the chance to reach the Conference National League via the play offs for the first time in our history, who knows we just might take it??

Anyone who does wish to attend on the night, should either pop into the club shop on any of our remaining home games and speak to Grant Morris or alternatively you can purchase your tickets by emailing him on grant.bwfc@outlook.com
