Boreham Wood Football Club can announce that former player Greg Morgan is currently under going a two week trial with the Club to prove his fitness following an injury ravaged Season last campaign at Blue Square Bet South rivals Chelmsford City.

Greg joined the Wood as a fourteen year old and rose through the Club’s Youth structure to graduate from our renowned PASE Scheme.    Greg went on to play 135 games for Wood’s First Team and was named the Club’s “Young Player of the Year” for the 2006/07 Season.

Following on from promotion from the Ryman Football League Premier Division, Greg had an influential first Season in the Blue Square Bet South which brought interest from numerous Clubs to capture his signature, however Glenn Pennyfather and Chelmsford City were able to lure him to Melbourne Park.

Greg played a part in Chelmsford City’s early promotion push and their F.A. Challenge Cup run which forced League Two Macclesfield Town to a Replay, however his second half of the Season saw him sustain a number of injuries which sidelined him.

Following surgery in the Summer, Wood hope that he can prove his fitness over the next two weeks.
