Yesterday, Boreham Wood took the FA Cup trophy around to our local schools, and Barnet Hospital.

The tour was a huge success, proving that the whole community have come together to support the club in our dream to make FA Cup history.

The energy and enthusiasm around the schools and the hospital was a joy to see, as first team manager Luke Garrard, player’s Danny Woodards and Ricky Shakes, and Community Manager Micky Engwell toured with the cup.

The schools were abuzz with excitement, as the children’s faces dropped, at the sight of one of the world’s most famous trophies.

As a community football club, Chairman Danny Hunter wanted to ensure that as many people as possible were involved in the buildup, to Sunday’s high-profile match against Coventry.

The children were overcome with excitement, as they raced to get their photograph with the cup, and the autographs of their Boreham Wood heroes.
