Following our hard thought 2-1 victory away to Southern Evo-Stik Premier League side St Neots Town in the FA Cup, Boreham Wood have been drawn to face Northwood away in the next round.

‘Wood’ played out a 2-1 victory last Saturday with only 10 men remaining on the field for more than 45 minutes. Goals from Greg Morgan and Omar Riza sealed Wood’s’ progression to the Third Qualifying round of the FA Cup.

It is important to recognise that ‘Wood’s’ squad was full of participants of the Clubs renowned PASE Scheme; Luke Garrard and Mario Noto (Head PASE coaches) were at hand to assist Gaffer Ian Allinson on the sideline (due to suspension and injury), whilst Greg Morgan, Lee Close, Cameron Baker-Owers, Harvey Scott-Morris, Ruddock Yala, Robert Hastings, Sam Doolan, Inih Effiong, Cliff Akurang and Chez Isaac have been involved with the Scheme at some point in some capacity, either playing or as a coach.

‘Wood’s’ Third Qualifying Round fixture is due to take place Saturday 6th October 2012 at 3.00pm, However ‘Wood’ will have to wait til the conclusion of the reply which takes place on Wednesday 26th September 2012 to know who they’ll be playing for a place in the Fourth Qualifying Round.
