Subject to an improvement in the recent bad weather, Boreham Wood entertain the current Blue Square Bet South leaders, Salisbury City at Meadow Park on Saturday 26 January 2013, Kick Off: 3.00pm.

Earlier in the Season Wood drew 2 – 2 at Salisbury City, Wood made the journey to Wiltshire aboard the Arsenal First Team Coach as part of the Non League Day celebrations and to their credit decided against the temptation of parking the million pound state of the art vehicle in front of the City goal.    Cliff Akurang and David Hutton scored Wood’s goals to earn one point.

Salisbury City have been in very impressive form this Season, and recently have won six and drawn two of their last eight League fixtures.    They have lost only three of their twenty-four League fixtures.

Their two leading goal scorers so far are Jamie White with twelve goals and Dan Fitchett with eight.

Boreham Wood are currently fourth in the table, having played twenty-two games, with ten wins, eight draws and four losses.

During the recent spell of inactivity, two key members of Ian Allinson’s First Team Squad, Mario Noto and Luke Garrard, have had added time to recover from injuries, and maybe available for Saturday’s important top-of-the-table clash.

Two new signings will also be available for selection.    They are forwards Michael Thalassitis, on a long term Loan from Stevenage, and Loick Pires on an initial one month Loan from Woking.    They will be joined by another new forward, Lewis Toomey, who recently joined the Club from neighbours St. Albans City.

Saturday’s game promises to be a really good match between two of the best Clubs in the Blue Square Bet South, so why not come along and support the Wood?
