Boreham Wood are delighted to announce the signing of Elliott Buchanan from Newport County. The 23 year-old striker arrives at Meadow Park having plundered an impressive 21 goals in just 58 full appearances with Conference National sides Hayes & Yeading United and Newport County over the past two seasons. The speedy front-runner rejoins ‘Wood’ where he had a brief spell with us from Stevenage as a 19 year-old.

His fledgling career has also seen him appear for AFC Wimbledon at Wembley Stadium no less; when he marked his Dons debut with a brace of goals against Corinthian Casuals at the legendary venue and went onto make a second Wembley appearance when Newport reached the FA Trophy Final back in May. Elliott has also enjoyed stints with Concord Rangers, Slough Town and Northwood where he scored 23 goals in just 26 games during 2007/8, which led to him being snapped up by former England U21 manager, Peter Taylor for Stevenage.

Everyone at Boreham Wood welcomes Elliott to Meadow Park and hope his stay with us is a long and successful one.
