Boreham Wood Football Club Chairman Danny Hunter has announced what he hopes will be a great way to boost the playing budget for 2017/18.

It is a new initiative that’s designed to not only help the function hire, but to also potentially increase adult season ticket sales and improve function suite occupancy.

The Chairman has promised that any increase in the club’s function suite income will go straight into Manager Luke Garrard’s first team budget.

Hunter explained the new initiative in more detail, stating: “We’ve started the season relatively well and there is a good feeling around the town, the club, the staff and the players at present.

“Like all managers, Luke Garrard is still looking to improve his squad if somebody comes along that he likes, and I want to be able to say yes.

“Our new initiative is aimed predominantly at helping local people and local companies who are thinking of having a function, to make their mind up.

“We believe that we have the best function suite outside of the local hotels, and as such, I have created a ‘boost the budget’ initiative for Luke and local people that is very, very simple.

“If anybody is thinking of hiring our Gallery suite between now and June 30th next year; and can afford to pay in full for their function within seven-days of their booking, then they will get a 10% discount off the full booking price.

“They will also receive one FREE adult and one FREE child Boreham Wood season ticket for the rest of the 2017/18 league campaign.”

Hunter concluded: “I hope that it is a win, win situation for people, and if it can help Luke Garrard to become more competitive in this league then I couldn’t be happier.

“There are obviously a few terms and conditions attached in order to protect the club in the offer, but I feel that it’s great value for money and I hope that it’s well received.”
