Paul Benson will be heading out on loan until the end of the season, with Bedford Town, of The Evo-Stik League South, East. Though he will continue his coaching and training here at the club.

The experienced forward joined the Wood in the summer of 2017, following a second stint with Dagenham & Redbridge, but he has not gotten the game time that he would like.

Benson first caught the attention of Conference sides in the 2004/05 campaign after scoring 96 goals in 59 League games for White Ensign. He was soon snapped up by Dagenham and Redbridge where he would spend five years.

The striker has vast experience at both National League and Football League level, and can also count Charlton Athletic, Swindon Town and Luton Town on his footballing CV.

Everyone at Boreham Wood Football Club, would like to wish Paul all the best during his time at Bedford.
