Boreham Wood Football Club can confirm this week that they will again look after the Women’s Super League Champions, Arsenal Ladies for the next three seasons. After completing negotiations and signing a contract extension on Saturday, BWFC Facility Manager Matthew Hunter said “Our relationship with Arsenal Football Club, their Secretary David Miles and the Arsenal Ladies General Manager Vic Akers is as strong as ever.. We were thrilled to also be invited to the Arsenal Boardroom for Saturday’s Arsenal v Norwich City game, we enjoyed a great game, wonderful hospitality and then completed the formalities by signing straight after.
Our Chairman takes our responsibility of looking after the Premier Ladies Team in the Country very seriously.. I believe the stability of the long standing relationship between the two clubs and the Arsenal Ladies dominance in the domestic game, is definitely helped by the fact that ‘Meadow Park’ is their spiritual home and has been for over a decade. In that time it we have seen title after title and cup after cup being won and of course the ladies also won the Women’s Champions League here for the first time in their history and it’s a wonderful memory that we hope can be repeated in the next three years” he concluded.
