Form Guide

The loss to Coventry in the FA Cup, may have ended the Wood’s 12-game unbeaten run in all competitions, but they remain undefeated in the National League since September.

The side will be hopeful of stretching that unbeaten run to 11 matches, against A.F.C Fylde.

The Wood currently sit outside of the playoffs in eighth place, but have a game in hand on seventh placed Bromley.

Garrard and his side will hope to return to the playoff positions on Saturday, as they currently sit just one point off.

Bruno Andrade sits just one goal behind visiting forward Danny Rowe in the Goal scoring charts, and will be hoping to leapfrog the 25-year-old.

Managed by 42-year-old David Challinor, The Coasters currently sit 16th in the National League table, on 28 points.

Fylde will be in high spirits, following a draw against League One opposition Wigan Athletic, in the FA Cup Second Round.

They beat Dover last time out in the league, 1-0 away from home, thanks to a goal from top scorer Danny Rowe.

From the Dugout – Luke Garrard

“It is going to be a tough fixture; I have watched them in their past three, or four games, and I obviously watched them on the box against Wigan Athletic. They possess great quality, like the majority of the sides in the National league.

“I think that if we put up a performance like we did against Coventry, in terms of the way that we started the game, free flowing and on the front foot; if we can match those levels and have the moments like we did against Coventry, then I believe we can cause AFC Fylde problems come Saturday.

“Looking at the Fylde team who have played in their last couple of fixtures, against the team who played us at the start of the season, there are about two, or three changes, if that.

“They have been very consistent in regard to their squads that have played and like I said, they have got quality; Lewis Montrose, Jordan Tunnicliffe and Danny Rowe, the current National League top scorer.

“They are not too far different from when we first played at the start of the season, but I think that they have accustomed themselves to the level and they got to grips with it nice and early.”
