How long is the course?
The Courses last from 1 to 3 years, dependant on your age, course chosen and GCSE grades.
Who is it for?
It is for boys who are between 16-18 years of age that want to further their knowledge, understanding and ability in football whilst at the same time continuing their education.
What qualification will I gain?
PASE provides you with the opportunity to gain a BTEC in Sport qualification, gain a qualification in construction, or we also offer A-Level courses.
Each student will also gain further qualifications in Drug awareness, Exercise and Fitness, Events Stewarding and the opportunity to pass their level 1 or 2 coaching badges.
Where do I Study?
Where you study will depend on which course you enrol on and where you live. Whether your on a BTEC in Sport, the multi-trade courses, or doing A-Level courses, you will study at a campus at either Borehamwood FC or the College of Haringey, Enfield & North East London (Please note our A-Level schools or college are all in the St Albans area)
Where do I train?
We have a new 3rd Generation astro turf that all of your coaching sessions will take place on at Boreham Wood Football Club. We also have an onsite gymnasium and onsite classrooms, to help with your additional coaching courses and education. We also have 2 other grass pitches located at the Enfield Centre, which also has a gymnassium, fitness studio and sports hall available to students.
What type of training will I receive to help me progress?
Training will be based on improving you as players on ALL aspects of the game, with sessions concentrating on a players technique, control, tactical awareness, to name but a few. This may also involve footage of your very own PASE games that will be played back to you on an “Andy Gray” style Smart Board as well as additionalities and advice on Nutrition and fitness regimes, from our medical department.
Am I supplied with kit?
We do not allow you to train in “whatever you want”, so you will be expected to purchase a training set from us. This includes a tracksuit, rain jacket, jumper, polo shirt, training top, training shorts, training socks, and kit bag which is Subsidised to reduce the cost to £100 (this is the only football cost you will incur from us).
Who will be teaching me?
Fully qualified Tutors from the School or College you choose, will be responsible for helping you gain your academic grades, whilst your football coaching will be taken by our UEFA Licensed Coaches, who have experience in Professional and YTS Schemes, as well as playing at a professional level.
Am I medically looked after?
DEFINITELY is the answer. We employ 2 full time medical staff, who are supported by a team of part-time staff, to look after for all our physiotherapy needs, over the two sites. We currently also an Injury Clinic with state of the art equipment, and fully functional rehabilitation gyms, which will ensure all our players have the expert help and advice they need…
