PLAYER PROFILE:

Jamie joined League Two side Newport County in July 2016 from Eastleigh, making his League debut in a 3-2 loss to Mansfield Town.

Turley began his career with Wycombe Wanderers but left without making a senior appearance, and has fought his way back up the divisions.

The 27-year-old has over 170 non-league appearances, having previously played for both Salisbury City and Forest Green.

After a period on trial at Bristol Rovers, the experienced centre-half joined Eastleigh, where he would play nearly 50 times before being snapped up by League Two Newport County.

Jamie displayed his leadership qualities at international level for the England C team, where he captained the side to the semi-final of the International Challenge Trophy, eventually succumbing to a 1-0 loss to Turkey.

In February 2013, the 27-year-old was named as England C Player of the Year, following his impressive displays for the national side.

Turley’s 2016/17 campaign was disrupted by injury, but he has said that having spent a season in the Football League, he is desperate to help Boreham Wood fight for a place in the division.
