Wood in the Community – Free Coaching

FREE COACHING IN SCHOOLS

As part of The Football Conference Community Club Development Fund project, Boreham Wood Football Club are pleased to announce that we are working with Primary schools in the local community offering FREE football coaching during their PE curriculum time.

This is a chance for all children to gain basic football skills at the same time as enhancing their co-ordination, communication and listening skills whilst having fun. We are currently working with St Teresa’s, Parkside Community, Kenilworth, Saffron Green and Monksmead primary schools.

FREE GOALKEEPING FOR SCHOOLS


As part of The Football Conference Community Club Development Fund project, Boreham Wood Football club are pleased to announce that we offer a FREE session every Thursday evening during term time to all school team goalkeepers. This will give all school goalkeepers a chance to get together and learn the basic skills needed to make that SAVE!

Our sessions are designed to encourage young goalkeepers to play in goal with confidence working on the fundamental skills needed to progress in this key position.

Our sessions cover a wide range of attributes required to create confident goalkeepers such as:

  • Shot stopping
  • Handling
  • Body shape
  • communication
  • Catching
  • Footwork
  • Ball Skills
  • Agility & Reaction
